OVERVIEW
The Spirit of Blue Safety Grant Program is designed to award equipment, or in some cases training, that will protect officers serving on duty.  The goal is to assist agencies in reducing serious injury and line of duty deaths as a result of having access to this equipment or training.  Agencies should only request items that they can clearly articulate will have a positive impact on officer safety.

SOLICITATIONS
In addition to being able to openly request the equipment or training desired, Spirit of Blue will periodically have solicitations for product it has received in donation that are available to be requested.  Because this equipment is imminently available, responding to a solicitation has a higher rate of approval.  To see a list of currently available solicitations, visit the Solicitations Page.

AUTHORIZATION
By filling out the form below, your agency is declaring that it is authorized by its local governing authority to receive grants.  Once submitted, your agency’s request will be added to our active database and a confirmation email will be sent with a copy of your submission.

GRANT CYCLE STATUS
We are in the process of awarding grants as part of the 2026 grant cycle.  All grant recipients will be notified by October 1st.  Applications received now will be considered for the 2027 grant cycle with awards announced beginning July 1, 2027.  Applications are collected on an ongoing basis and are added to our active database.  If not selected in one year, applications will automatically be reviewed and considered for following years.  You may email grants@spiritofblue.org to update your information as your situation changes.

Due to staffing levels, we will only be contacting those applicants who are selected to receive a grant.  We understand this is frustrating, but the volume of applications far exceeds our ability to respond to all of them.
