National Police Week Events – Spirit of Blue is returning to our nation’s capital to honor law enforcement during the National Police Week observances May 12-13, 2016.

Thursday, May 12th
What: Law Enforcement United Road to Hope Memorial Ride Arrival Ceremony
When: 2pm – 4pm
Where: USMC War Memorial, Arlington, VA 22209

Friday, May 13th
What: C.O.P.S. and Survivor Families/Friends Registration Day
When: 8am – 12pm
Where: Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, 5000 Seminary Rd, Alexandria, VA 22311
Featuring: Krispy Kreme Cruiser with complimentary doughnuts and prizes

THE NEED

Over 900,000 law enforcement officers honorably serve the population of the United States - that equates to 1 officer for every 350 citizens. On average, 125 officers are lost and another 15,000 are injured in the line of duty each year. Yet funding for safety equipment and training is dwindling as tax revenues decline. The need for supplemental funding to protect these officers has never been greater.
